The One-on-One Research Mentorship Program offers tailored, immersive experiences that transform passionate learners into accomplished researchers by pairing them with world-leading scholars. Students are carefully selected based on their academic excellence, subject passion, and drive to contribute to knowledge, then guided through a personalized research journey.
The program is designed to provide participants invaluable exposure to the real-world research ecosystem, while maximizing students' outcomes, including unique academic achievement, real-world impact, personal growth, and recognition from the professor.
A typical one-on-one research mentorship experience includes:

Program Structure
The program provides 25 hours of personalized mentorship delivered over five to ten weeks, accommodating the student's schedule and commitments. These engagement hours are strategically divided into 10 hours of direct mentorship with the professor and 15 hours of academic guidance from a dedicated research support mentor.
Program's Value Proposition
According to the UPenn Admissions Office, one-third of admitted students have engaged in academic research alongside leading faculty and researchers. Similarly, the JHU Admissions Office notes that "a letter of recommendation from a researcher" at a top institution carries significantly more weight than most other types of recommendations.
Our individualized research mentorship program aligns mentorship with each student's academic goals and research interests, allowing professors to gain deep insights into students' personalities, strengths, and academic potential.
This close partnership produces distinctive project deliverables and highly personalized reference letters that showcase each student's unique capabilities, helping students stand out in competitive university admissions.
Program Application Process
We ensure optimal student-professor matching through our comprehensive four-step application process:
Student Application: The student completes an online application including their resume/CV and research statements that demonstrate their academic interests and research goals.
Professor Matching: The student is paired with one to three professors whose research expertise closely aligns with their interests and academic objectives. The student then selects their preferred mentor from these matched options.
In-Depth Interview: A focused 20-minute interview enables the professor and student to explore research topics in depth, confirm the optimal research focus, and establish a clear research roadmap.
Teaching Assistant Assignment: A dedicated teaching assistant joins the team to coordinate mentorship sessions, provide additional academic support, and facilitate the entire research process.
Program Pricing
The program is priced at $19,800. Merit-based scholarships are available, with decisions made following the completion of the interview process.
